2019
Everyday scenes that caught my attention, portraits I made along the way, stories of the people and the places I visited. In 2019, I received the wedding invitation from my Indian friend, Mehi. This special occasion brought me back to Mumbai, a city that has always fascinated me and one that I believe I will never tire of exploring. After the celebration in Mumbai, I embarked on a journey northward, culminating in Dharamshala.
Visiting India is a powerful sensory experience, often making it a psychedelic experience in itself—sounds, colors, smells, tastes—a true flood of stimuli for our minds. During the 30 days I spent in India, I carried my camera with me everywhere, at that time a Canon 5D Mark II, and at some moments, my dear Nikon FE. Throughout the journey, I photographed everyday scenes that caught my attention and also took portraits wherever I went. In total, I must have made more than 50 portraits, each one telling the story of the people and places I encountered. These portraits intertwine with the scenes I saw and photographed during my time in India.
